about Nick Bova

ABOUT NICK

Nick brings a unique combination of teaching and playing skills to Hamilton Farm Golf Club.

He is a native of Central Illinois and has lived in the Metropolitan area since 2010. From 2010-2015, Nick was the First Assistant at Friar’s Head on the east end of Long Island, New York. Nick moved on from Friar’s Head in 2015 to be the Teaching Professional at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, NY. Nick has been the Director of Instruction at Hamilton Farm since 2019.

Nick is an accomplished golfer, he was a 3x All-American at DIII Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. In 2022, Nick won the New Jersey PGA Section Championship at Manasquan River GC shooting 73-70-68. In 2019, Nick won the New Jersey PGA Clambake and Fall Finale. In 2013, Nick won the Metropolitan Assistant’s Championship at Bethpage Red shooting 62-65, -13. It is believed to be the lowest 36-hole total in any Metropolitan PGA Section event. He also qualified for the seven (2010, 2018-2023) PGA Professional Championships.

Nick is a Class A member of the PGA and member of Proponent Group. Nick was has the honor of being one of Golf Digests Best Young Coaches as well as Golf Digests Best in State for New Jersey. In 2020, Nick was the New Jersey PGA Teacher/Coach of the Year. Nick attended Methodist University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management.

Nick lives in Hillsborough, NJ with his girlfriend, Erin and their kids, along with two golden retrievers, Coco and Rex. Their interests include traveling, trying new restaurants, country music concerts, spending time with the kids, and taking Coco and Rex to the dog park.

Nick is a Class A member of the PGA and member of Proponent Group. He is also a US Kids certified instructor and a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance.  Nick was an Honorable Mention Top 50 US Kids instructor in 2014-15. Nick attended Methodist University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Management.
